Marjani Beauty Recognized by the Mayor's Office of African-American Affairs - Marjani
Marjani Beauty was honored by the Mayor's Office of African-American Affairs on December 8th, 2018. The citation from the city came as a welcomed addition to the timeline of events during the grand opening of our store located in Dupont Circle, Washington, DC at the Brown Beauty Co-op.

The congratulatory note read, "The Mayor's Office on African-American Affairs congratulates Kimberly Smith and Amaya Smith on their grand opening of The Brown Beauty Co-op in Dupont Circle. The Brown Beauty Co-op is a one of a kind cooperative beauty space. The co-op is a one-stop beauty and shopping experience, a place for brown beauty focused events, and an incubator for emerging beauty brands to showcase their products and services."

We want to thank the Mayor's Office of African-American Affairs for presenting such an honor to us as well as welcoming us to the neighborhood. Our goal is to fulfill the mission of not only taking a seat at the table but also creating our own table for women of color in the beauty industry. We could not have thought of a better place to continue fulfilling the mission with a brick and mortar store than in Washington, DC. Thank you MOAAA for having us and supporting Marjani Beauty!
